On Friday night we welcome our Yorkshire rivals the Hull Pirates for their first visit to our new home on Elland Road. Hull are a dangerous offensive outfit, and boast some of the leagues top point scorers in their ranks. We have run them close on a couple of occasions already this season, including an overtime loss in Hull earlier in the season. However, we have settled in to our new home nicely and are playing some great hockey, and come in to this game on the back of a huge win over the league leaders last weekend. This is a big two points in our push for the playoffs, and it promises to be a real thriller as the guys will be fighting tooth and nail to get the win and keep the momentum building.

Sunday night sees Milton Keynes make the trip up north, for what will be our third game in three nights. We have had some great, high scoring games with the Lightning this season, the most recent of which saw us run out 4-1 winners. They have some big names in their line up, including Liam Stewart, Cale Tanaka and new import signing Taylor Dickin. Both teams like to play a heavy, physical game, so this promises to be a thrilling encounter. This weekend is really important for the Chiefs as it sees us play one of our three games in hand on the teams immediately above us in the standings, and once the dust settles on Sunday night we will have a much clearer picture of where our playoff aspirations stand. It will be fantastic to see the rink packed out as the fans again create that electric atmosphere that Elland Road is fast becoming known for, and we hope to give you all plenty to cheer about.
