The Leeds Chiefs are delighted to announce the seventh player on the roster for the upcoming season, with the return of fan favourite Lewis Houston.

Houston joined the Chiefs in December from NIHL North side Solway Sharks, and had an immediate impact, scoring the overtime winner in just his second game for the club. He went on to contribute 22 points in just 24 games for the Chiefs, including 15 goals, and coach Sam Zajac was understandably delighted to have secured the talented teenager for a second season.

“Lewis had a huge impact for us when he came in last year. His work rate, tenacity and offensive abilities were invaluable and he perfectly fits the mould of the team that we’re looking to build in Leeds”, said Zajac, “He’s young, has a fantastic attitude, and is hungry for success. We’re delighted to have him onboard for another season and I’m sure the fans will be equally delighted.”

Houston added, “I can’t wait to get back down to Leeds and pick up where we left off. Looking at the team that we are putting together I think we can be really competitive and challenge at the right end of the table. I hope everyone is staying safe and look forward to seeing you all at Elland Road when the season gets started.”
