“A real up and down weekend for us in our home/away split with Sheffield Steeldogs. We had a fantastic first forty minutes over in Blackburn and put ourselves in a great position, but let it slip away in disappointing fashion early in the third. However, Richard Bentham popped up with a huge goal with four minutes remaining to send us in to overtime, and we came out on top after an end-to-end three on three session, courtesy of Adam Barnes hat trick goal, to claim the extra point.

Similarly, on Sunday we started the game really well, played with energy, and put Sheffield under a lot pressure. After taking the lead, we conceded an equalising goal in unfortunate fashion, and after that I thought our heads dropped and we never quite recovered. It was a disappointing loss especially given the way we had played the night before, but we focus on the positives and look forward to another Yorkshire derby on Saturday against the Hull pirates.”
