“I thought we had a good start tonight, we talked before the game about how Telford would come out hard and force us all over the ice, and we weathered the storm well, we took the lead twice with two well worked goals but unfortunately as the game went on we started to let errors creep in and he didn’t manage the puck as well as we would have liked credit to Telford who are extremely well drilled, they worked hard and executed on the chances that we gave them.

I think fitness also played a part in the third period and you can tell that we haven’t been on the ice as much as we would have liked. That being said, it is what it is, and we aren’t going to use that as an excuse

I can’t fault the guys work ethic we battled all night but while we worked hard, I feel we probably could have worked a little smarter at times.

Our focus now shifts next weekend and two huge games against Milton Keynes and Bracknell. We will be working hard this week to correct some of the more negative aspects of our performances, and we know that with the character in our locker room it won’t be long until we get our first win on board.

Finally, a massive thank you to the fans that made the long trip down to Shropshire on a Sunday night. Your support is hugely appreciated and we’re all pulling on the rope to get you that first Chiefs win”.
